Subscription & bolt-on pricing and charging changes

This page covers the key changes to subscription & bolt-on prices and charging provision, coming into effect from 9th January 2023.

SUBSCRIPTION AND BOLT-ON PRICES

From 9th January 2023 onwards, there will be increased subscription and bolt-on prices for new bookings.

Active subscribers (anyone who currently has a car) or those who book a car by 8th January 2023 will not be affected by these increases unless they swap their car after this date, or cancel their subscription and book again at a later date.

In the event that your car is requested for return through the Refresh & Retire programme, you will continue to maintain your current price (aka protected price) on your new car until at least December 2023.

From 9th January 2023 onwards, bolt-on packages are changing as follows:

Additional Mileage bolt-on

In order to maintain a protected price for a mileage bolt-on, it will need to be set to be added to future months. This is found in the ‘Bolt-ons’ section of ‘My Account’.

CHARGING

Due to significant increases in energy prices alongside the expansion of the UK’s charging networks, our current charging offer is changing. Rest assured we will continue to include free charging across all our subscriptions.

From 9th January 2023, all new bookings will include free access to the Shell Recharge network as part of the subscription. The InstaVolt network will be available as a new optional £120 bolt-on and we will no longer provide access to the BP Pulse network. The Tesla Supercharger network will still be available to anyone who is driving a Tesla car through an Onto subscription.

Current subscribers or those who book a car by 8th January 2023 will not be affected by these changes and continue to have access to all three charging networks as part of their subscription until they either swap their car or cancel their subscription. In the event that your car is requested for return through the Refresh & Retire programme then you will maintain access to all 3 charging networks in your new car until at least December 2023.

*Calculation based on an average monthly usage of 250kWh through the InstaVolt network at 75p per kWh as of December 2022.
