Our new no-charging option

Everything you need to know about our no-charging plans.

It's for new members (for now)

From Monday 6th February 2023, new members of Onto will save £60 each month with our no-charging subscription.

As well as being the cheapest way to join us, the no-charging option gives you greater flexibility to use public chargers from other providers. Your subscription still includes insurance, maintenance, and servicing.

We're trialling it on selected cars

These include the: Fiat 500e (hatchback and convertible, branded and unbranded), Renault Zoe, Vauxhall Corsa-e and Peugeot e-208 models.

How it works

1. Browse the cars we've told you are included in the offer.
2. Pick your favourite and compare the two plans to see which type of subscription you'd prefer (with or without charging). Here's an example of what it will look like:

3. Select 'Let's go'. 

4. Check the car's availability and confirm your address.

5. To go ahead without charging (and save yourself £60), you can proceed to checkout without needing to add the Charging with Shell bolt-on. If you want to include charging from the start, add the bolt-on to your basket. You can add or remove it once your subscription has started but we can only apply it the following month.

6. Customise your subscription further by adding any other bolt-ons you want, then proceed to payment.

Why we've introduced a no-charging subscription

Our members asked for it. Some prefer to charge at home or want more flexibility over which public chargers they can use. Plus, the no-charging subscription is the cheapest way to join the electric car revolution with Onto!
